winter hill

It's sometimes surprising that one can find color on a bleak, grey winter day. I was happy there was still enough foliage on the oak trees to provide just a touch of red.

lone winter gate

Taken during the winter on a cold morning...great sunrise.

first communion

My daughter's first communion

moon over wells

The water was calm, the sunset was perfect, and the moon was up. A typical Wells Beach evening.

reflecting red

Our trip to the NH mountains in fall is always a surprise waiting to happen.

Nubble light

It truly was a "postcard perfect" day!

october ivy

As bad as it can be on a brick building, it is so good on a camera's lense.

silhouette

I was so pleased with how the barn created a silhouette against the bright beautiful blue sky.

puffs

I know it's a cliche, but they really did look like cotton puffs.

cell walls

The macroscopic world is one of my favorite- and the cellulose that separates these plant cells are perfectly aligned.

tree wrinkles

..even their wrinkles tell their history.

Bright cloud beach

The weather in Wells never disappoints, and this day there was a larger thunderstorm lurking just to the west...

Wells rocks

If only I could carry these home to go with all of the other smaller, round, soft rocks I find each summer on the beach.

aspen leaves

My trip to the NH mountains each fall is never disappointing.

circle of sun

Casey, the dog at the farm, always catching the best circle of sun....

daffodil shadows

I was flattered that a professional painter chose this photo to use as a subject of one of her paintings visit: http://marilynfuerstenberg.blogspot.com/2008/01/daffodils-in-vase.html

poppy perfection

...probably the most photographed and painted flower.....

hold your breath

As a kid, I would rush to a full dandelion, hold my breath and BLOW....

horizontal green

snow curves

I could enlessly paint and photograph the purple-blue shadows that are found on snow....

icy river

After a nice snow storm, I love to venture out early in the morning to see what surprises my camera and I can find.

Boston tulips

The gardens in Boston are spectacular in the spring, and I'll bet atleast 100 different varieties of tulips are planted each spring.

black alley

The back alleys of Boston are perfect for black and white photography; the shadows and litter, all giving good value changes and making for an interesting eye-walk.

puddle architecture

I find that I tend to notice more details in a puddle sometimes, than in the buildings above them. This happened again during a recent trip into Boston on a spring day following a typical New England shower.
